STAGE 01
Design & Engineering
Typical duration6 to 8 weeks
Assumes the homeowner makes decisions and responds promptly.
Evaluate the existing structure, survey, soils and desired elevation. Develop the engineered lifting, support and permanent foundation plans.
STAGE 02
Permitting
Typical duration6 to 8 weeks
Submit the required plans and supporting documents. Address building, zoning and floodplain reviews and obtain required approvals before the applicable work begins.
STAGE 03
Structural Preparation
Typical duration3 to 4 weeks
Prepare the structure and site for the engineered sequence, including required separation work, access and utility disconnections.
STAGE 04
Excavation & Support Installation
Typical duration2 to 6 weeks
Varies with crawlspace or slab-on-grade construction and site interferences such as tree roots.
Excavate as required and install the engineered steel, lifting equipment and temporary supports beneath the structure.
STAGE 05
Elevation
Typical duration1 to 2 weeks
Raise the structure in a controlled sequence using the engineered lifting system. Maintain stable temporary support at the planned elevation.
STAGE 06
Foundation Installation, Pilings, Footings, Piers
Typical duration6 to 8 weeks
Install the permanent foundation specified by the engineer. Pilings, footings and piers are used where required by the design, with permanent supports positioned clear of temporary cribbing.
STAGE 07
Structural Set Down
Typical duration1 week
Homeowners may move back in after set down once utilities, safe access and any required occupancy approvals are in place.
Transfer the structure onto its permanent supports, complete the designed connections and remove temporary lifting equipment and cribbing in the approved sequence.
STAGE 08
Lower Level Completion
Typical duration6 to 14 weeks
Varies with the extent of finishes the homeowner asks JAS to complete.
Complete the contracted lower slab, permitted enclosure, decks, stairs, utilities and finishes. Obtain required inspections and occupancy approvals.
JAS manages and constructs the project. The selected specialized lifting team performs the physical lift and set. The sequence is illustrative: engineering and site conditions determine actual methods, support and order.
